HISTORICAL PERAK






Historical sites are not just about buildings, they are also a cultural heritage , a display room of ancient life, and an irreplaceable sense of story.
So here i will share a little bit about history in Perak....


Perak was founder by Prince Merong Mahapudisa. And that time the first government is Bruas and Manjung in the 15th century. Present of that time was established in 1528 and traces and its original from Sultan Muzaffar Shah is one of oldest son of the last its Sultan Melaka. As the tin deposits are plentiful and the silver is facing constant threats. The state was destroyed by the outcry of the Achinese people in the 16th century. The Netherlands tried to monopolize the tin trade without success. The 18th century Silver was threatened by Bugis in the south and Thailand in the north also threatened Perak. After this incident the country was saved by the conquest of Thailand by the British in the 1820s. Tin ore is very important and causes an increase in the number of Chinese miners. In the 1870s the country was at a time of dispute over the replacement and war between Chinese weigh miners. And the British intervened and appointed James W.W. Birch as the first British Resident. Due to the appointment of the opposition in Perak, the Silver Chief resulted in the assassination of the first British Resident and a brief war followed. And finally in 1896 Silver has been used as one of the four Malay states that make up the Federated Malay States.

PASIR SALAK

Pasir Salak is the site of the first J.W.W Birch Resident village in Perak. Here we can visit the actual place where Birch was killed and also can visit the places related to the history of how the killing occurred, and the war between the Malays and the British.

PASIR SALAK HISTORICAL COMPLEX

Pasir Salak Historical Complex is a place where architecture and the work done by the Malays and dedicated to commemorating the first British Resident in Perak, J.W. W. Birch, where Birch was killed by Lela Dato Sagor and the Prince. The house was also built here Kulai (traditional house Perak) that displays the history of the Malay cultural artifacts. Apart from history there are also outdoor activities such as river cruises or safaris in the Perak River, jet skiing, canoeing, fishing, biking and bird watching. This is one of the main furry attractions in the Sand Salak is the Hornbill India.
